Nat Ord + Vanessa Keenan

Nat and Vanessa each bring twenty years experience in the arts to their collaborative practice.

Both are trained professional photographers. Vanessa is also an experienced arts & cultural manager and has curated several exhibitions as well as a large-scale festival. Nat is an award winning fine art photographer and sculptor working across a variety of media.

Vanessa is an Arts & Cultural Consultant specialising in public art, cultural planning and museums. She has curated several exhibitions, is a 2020 Regional Arts Australia Fellow, former General Manager at HotHouse Theatre, former Regional Arts Development Officer (RADO), former professional photographer for Kodak and The Border Mail and was curator of Arbour Festival.

Nat is an Ecologist and natural resource professional. She is also a Producer and Content Maker for ABC Radio. Nat was a Finalist in the National Photographic Portrait Prize and has exhibited in the National Portrait Gallery, MAMA Albury, The Old Stone Hall Beechworth and National Heritage Trust (Melbourne). Her images have been extensively published in Australian and international media (print and digital). She was Co-Writer, Co-director, 2nd Camera and stills for A Spiral Mind - a Creatability project with Screenworks and ABC which screened on iView.

They have worked on a number of projects together, most recently the enCounter Residency at Gilgandra Museum (Orana Arts) and Mid Stories I (Eastern Riverina Arts). Both projects will culminate in exhibitions in early 2023.

Mid Stories II is on exhibition from 29 September - 15 October at Wagga Wagga Art Gallery.
